Delegates of the main opposition party, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) faced a tough choice when they chose a flag bearer to lead their third charge at taking over government on Tuesday, September 2nd. Incumbent party leader Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu is facing off against founding party president Dr Kizza Besigye . The two have been traversing the countryside mobilizing support for their bid. Dr. Besigye, a three time Presidential candidate made a dramatic return to contestation earlier this year after having quit in 2012 when he bowed out of the party vowing not to contest in future elections unless critical electoral reforms were put in place.
