Election Day observation will focus on strict adherence to the electoral laws. At a technical level, observers will amongst others, monitor and report on: polling day administration; deployment of security personnel; and the demographics of polling day voter turnout.
CCEDU urges political parties, candidates and voters to lay a lot of emphasis on mapping the exact locations of authentic polling stations around Buhweju District. The District has a network of 120 polling stations and 41,768 registered voters.

The Buhweju by-election comes as the 14th since the 2011 general elections. Four of these by-elections have been orchestrated by deaths, while the rest have been occasioned by various court rulings.

CCEDU wishes the people of Buhweju a peaceful campaign period and a pleasant polling day on 31st October, 2013.
